|“Meet Ms. Kenney" Hi, I’m Mrs. Kenney, my educational background starts right here in Lynn where I graducated from lLynn Classical High School! I also have attended Gordon College where I received a Bachelor of Music in Music Education.
My philosophy of music education centers on the fact that music is a natural part of the human being. It is a piece of the puzzle in every culture. It promotes universality- every single student can put aside their differences to come together to make music. However, it can also establish our student’s individuality and personality and in music class we have a chance to share it with others. Our sharing with and performing for each other allows a development of self-esteem and confidence, qualities which will hopefully last my students’ entire lives. Students can release their emotions through music. They develop listening skills, and communication skills as they create music together. Music and teaching are my two passions, and this list of the benefits of music education does not stop here.
