MG Hi my name is Marion Gunning. Teaching in Lynn for the past 37 years has been an enriching experience for this educator. I have a deep love for this city and all that it has to offer developing an appreciation of the Visual Arts. My undergraduate studies were focused on Art Education grades K-12.

I was part of the first graduating class of 1979 from the Art Department at Salem State College. During this time my passion for teaching reached out to the special needs population. This area of expertise encouraged this educator to further her education by attending a certification and masters program at Boston State College. I was able to incorporate my art into many of the classes that I had taught.

My husband, children, and I have enjoyed traveling throughout the states and abroad. We were able to experience multi-cultural experiences that afforded us to broaden our horizons. My heart belongs on the North Shore with all its changes of the seasons and endless drawing and painting opportunities.

I immediately felt a connection to LCHS and the unique sense of community that exists among the parents and staff. Lynn is my home and Lynn Classical High School is my time to reach students in sharing my archives of knowledge through the Visual Arts.

Greetings! My name is Ms. Sutton and I am thrilled to have the privilege of teaching Art 2, Art 3, Art 4, Portfolio Art, and AP Art to the students of Lynn Classical. I have been teaching art in urban high schools within Massachusetts since 2012 and am delighted to be a part of the Lynn community.

I hold a Bachelor of Arts from Colgate University, where I double-majored in Art and Art History, with a focus on drawing, and in Theater, with a focus on costume design. I hold a Master of Education in Art Education from Lesley University. In addition to teaching, I am the Special Needs Representative for the Massachusetts Art Education Association. I also work hard to maintain a professional studio practice of making my own artwork
