IMPORTANT NOTICE:
Students and Parents,
I want to stress that the student DOES NOT HAVE TO FINISH ALL THE WORK. He or she should not feel overwhelmed, stressed, or pressured to finish all of it. The assignments are not to be graded per order of the Superintendent. The activities are merely designed to keep students academically engaged on a daily basis (not including the weekends). The amount of work listed covers everything that would have been taught up until the end of the school year. There are many assignments because all students work at a different pace. This does not imply not doing the work. LPS strongly encourages that you engage in these learning activities. Assignments can be summitted via email at fogartya@lynnschools.org or in person during the next school year. The students should not work on these assignments after the last scheduled day of school, which is June 18. Also, students should not be working on these assignments over summer break.
Furthermore, some time this week an interdisciplinary assignment (with a menu of options) will be introduced by Lynn Public Schools that requires no computers. That assignment takes precedence over the history assignments on my webpage. Students can come back to my work later.
I hope you all are safe and healthy.
Sincerely,
Mr. Fogarty

If you already finished the above work please do the following assignments in the textbook.
Read ALL OF CHAPTERS 7 AND 8
Please answer the section review questions for Chapter 7 on pages 236, 244, 255, 260, 266, 273, and 278
Please answer the section review questions for Chapter 8 on pages 290, 298, and 307
YOU DO NOT HAVE TO DEFINE THE KEY TERMS
Again please keep in mind that these are enrichment activities designed to keep you academically sharp. I know this is a lot of work. Please go at your own pace, and try to learn something. Don't merely rush through the assignment just to finish it.
Hope you (and your family) are all healthy,
Mr. Fogarty |

Dear students,
First of all, I hope everyone and their families are safe and healthy. I have provided some work for you to keep up with our work. You can find it on my classroom web page on the Lynn public schools website. I will provide a step by step guide how to access that in this email. If you have any question or concerns for me you can reach me through my email at fogartya@lynnschools.org. I will be putting additional assignments on that site today and in the future for you to access and work on. You can submit these assignments digitally or with a picture of the completed assignment to my email listed above.
Accessing my classroom website:
1. Go to lynnschools.org
2. Click on the Contacts tab in the top right corner
3. Choose Lynn English High School
4. Then choose Social Studies
5. Choose my name Andrew Fogarty
6. At the bottom of my page, click US History I
Once again, I hope you're all happy, healthy and safe.
Sincerely,
Mr. Fogarty |
