April 1, 2020 chemistry_course_distance_learning_plan__april_1
Please read the attached files that describe the Updated Chemistry Course Syllabus for remote learning and the Weekly lesson plans for the next 7 weeks. April 1, 2020 Chemistry (Brandalise)

Welcome Back to Chemistry!! I have missed you! In the weeks to come, we are going to review everything that we have learned in Chemistry using the website below. Think of this as a great opportunity to review or to learn for the first time the key ideas of chemistry. I think this is a great website! The units that I want us to cover can be found on the Chemistry Course Syllabus for Distance Learning on my Classroom web page https://www.gpb.org/chemistry-matters The units are broken down into Segments. Each Segment contains a video between 8 to 20 minutes in length. With each segment there are worksheets and a study guide for taking notes.

Before you watch the video, you should look at these worksheets so that you know what to focus your attention on as you watch the video. You will find these worksheets in the Tool Kit at the bottom of the web page under Support Materials. If you able to print them out, I recommend that you print them out and do them along with watching the video. If you can’t print them out, then maybe you could take a picture of the worksheet with your cell phone and copy down the answers on a piece of paper.

You could email me a picture of the completed worksheet. At this time, as far as I know, your work is not to be graded. So I won’t be grading it, BUT I would love to have something to correct. -- I am so BORED! --- Besides Learning Chemistry is FUN! If after going through the Segment, you are having trouble with answering questions or solving problems you can check out “Closer Look” under the Support Materials and/or email me your questions. My current weekly lesson plans for us is to cover 3 Segments per week. You can work at your own pace. You can do more than 3 segments per week or additional units if you want to. But you should try to average around 3 segments per week.

I am here for you!!! Please reach out to me and your classmates and let me know how you are doing. I have NIGHT BACK ---- EVERY NIGHT!! --- 7 DAYS AWEEK Lesson Plan For this Week April 1- April 8 Unit 2. Introduction to Matter https://www.gpb.org/chemistry-matters Segment A. Properties of Matter Segment B. Density Lab Results/ Crush Lab Segment C. Physical Properties and Phase Change
