My name is Christopher Cornett and I am excited to be a part of the Thurgood Marshall Middle School team. This year, I am teaching ESL-ELA and ESL-Math for grades 6-8 in Cluster 7. I have a Master’s degree with an ESL concentration and a Bachelor’s degree with a middle grades concentration. I have worked with kids in grades 5-8 and taught English to international teenagers. For a few years, I taught adults in ESL and GED programs. I was also a coordinator, tutor, literacy teacher, and conversation club facilitator for a drop-in tutoring program for immigrant adults in Nashville, TN.
