Welcome To The Tracy Elementary School

Our school is a vibrant, active school filled with children who are encouraged daily to do their best as they try new things. With this in mind, we have designed programs that support students in their learning and give them skills necessary to become life-long learners. Our teachers work closely with staff, students, and parents create a positive learning environment for our school.

Every day we recite the Tracy School motto:
Do something nice for somebody else,
just because you can.
This is the basic premise for our entire school. Smile. Be nice. Be positive. And know that we are here for you.

Parents are an integral part of a student’s education. They monitor the child’s homework, attendance, and nightly reading. We strongly encourage parents to meet with teachers and share their thoughts and concerns. Please read the handbook and notices that are sent home. Check your child’s papers that come home and their agenda books. Stay in contact with the school.

As always, I am here if you need me!

Mrs. Pattye Griffin- Principal

Welcome to the Tracy Elementary School Council Webpage

About School Councils
A school council is a representative, school building-based committee composed of the principal, parents, teachers, community members and, at the secondary level, students, required to be established by each school pursuant to Massachusetts General Laws Chapter 71, Section 59C.

It is important to note the School Council plays an advisory role in assisting the building principal to organize and implement a School Improvement Plan which not only addresses the areas in which the school intends to comply with the requirements of the Educational Reform Act, but also how the school intends to meet those system-wide goals and policies adopted by the school committee. Membership will consist of the principal, teachers, parents, students and community members.
