Important Notes and Reminders
Ø We continue to collect Box Tops for Education and Campbell’s Soup Labels, which raises money for the school. Please cut them out and send them in with your child.
Ø Other ways to raise money for our school:
o If you shop at Hannaford, please send in your receipts and we will bring them to the store to receive money for our school.
o If you have a Target Credit Card, follow these easy steps and Target will donate 1% of your REDcard purchase to our school.
§ Sign up for Take Charge of Education and designate Shoemaker School. You can do this online, by calling 1-800-316-6142, or stop at an in-store kiosk. It’s that easy!
Ø Reminder: Every Friday is “school spirit” day. Have your child wear khaki bottoms and a blue shirt.
PTO Notes
Ø PTO Meeting will be held Wednesday, April 14 at 6:30 p.m. Hope to see many of you there.
o We will be voting on the Lip Sync program cover during the April PTO meeting.
Ø Recap of March meeting:
o Discussed March Calendar Fundraiser – raised $3,400 as of March 10th. Thank you to everyone who contributed and bought tickets to support this worthwhile fundraiser.
o First graders had a wonderful Green Eggs & Ham to celebrate Dr. Seuss’s birthday in March. Thank you to all who helped to make this event fun for the children.
o Families enjoyed a Math Night recently. Thank you to the teachers for providing math activities for the children. Fourth grade parents were able to hear a presentation about Nature’s Classroom.
o Plans are underway for the Staff Appreciation Lunch.
o Lip Sync was discussed to be sure all aspects of the evening are covered. It takes many people to make this event successful.
