ABOUT OUR NEW UNIFORM DRESS CODE
Dear Parents, This year students are invited to wear uniforms as part of the school dress code. Mondays through Thursdays will be full or partial uniform days, while Fridays will be “Free Fashion Friday!” The only exception to ‘Free Fashion Friday’ will be when an assembly falls on a Friday, such as a SOAR Rally or an Academic Award Assembly.
The Dress code is as follows:
- Full Uniform: Polo shirt, khaki pants, belt, dark shoes or sneakers
- Partial Uniform: Polo shirt, dungarees, dark sneakers
- Traditional: Clothing as outlined by the Lynn Public School handbook
Free polo shirts and backpacks will be given out on Wednesday, August 30th and Thursday, August 31st between 9-11 AM in front of the school. At this time, parents may purchase short sleeve polos for $13.00 and order more polos. Khakis can be purchased at any store such as Wal-Mart, Kohl’s, Sears, etc.
We are also in need of several parents to be on the “uniform committee.” This Committee will assist in ordering polos, distributing polos (approximately twice a year), and implementing an incentive program.
