Classical Library

We are members of the Northern Massachusetts Regional Library System (NMRLS). We are also members of the North of Boston Library Exchange (NOBLE). This accesses reference information and book availability from our own Lynn Public Library and other libraries on the North Shore. http://www.noblenet.org/lynn

NCES is the National Center for Education Statistics. The "Create a Graph" feature is especially useful to our students. The NCES Students' Classroom has been redesigned and even renamed. It is now called the KidsZone. It has an entirely new look and feel to help you find things easier and added features to make your visit more fun. You'll still have the same great tools to help you find schools, libraries, or colleges and don't worry, the Create a Graph is still just a click away.

Check out the very popular Chances where probability is only a roll of the dice away, or visit old favorites like the Word Search. You can find updated information on education or compare where you stack up to students from across the globe. The new home page is also not to be missed with its new Student Poll and Mindbenders to test your cleverness. We hope you like what we've done. It's knowledge and fun rolled up in one! The NCES KidsZone can be found at: http://nces.ed.gov/nceskids/

Sign-In for Study Students

Students from study may come to the library before school to sign up to come during a study period. If you are a good planner, you may come the night before or a few days before you want to come.

Procedure |

1. Come to the library and see the sign-in notebook on the table by the counter.

2. The periods are listed the same way that the rotation goes for that day.

3. READ the notations for each period.

a. A teacher’s name may be listed. That teacher’s entire class will be in the library. Spaces for study students may be limited.

b. It may say that NO COMPUTERS ARE AVAILABLE. This means that the teacher’s class will be using all of the computers.

Students who want to study QUIETLY and won’t disturb the academic class may sign up.

c. It may say CLOSED. No students are allowed if the library is closed.

d. LONG BLOCK: ALL STUDENTS MUST EAT LUNCH THE SAME PERIOD AS THE LIBRARIAN DURING LONG BLOCK.
