Welcome!
Greg MacPhee graduated from Clark University with a BA in History in 2012 and a MA in Teaching in 2013. While student teaching history at Worcester's South High Community School, he found that many of his most dedicated students were English Language Learners. After this positive experience, he decided to work full time with ELL's. He worked at Lynn English High School during the 2013-2014 school year, but is happy to be here at Classical since 2014.
He loves being able to see the progress his students make right before his eyes. Having gone on a high school exchange to Costa Rica and spent a semester of college in Istanbul, Turkey, he understands what it is like to live and study in a foreign country and language, but also the rewards of working in such diverse settings. Outside of teaching, Mr. MacPhee enjoys reading both fiction and nonfiction, learning about history, keeping up with current events, and hanging out with a diverse group of friends from high school, college, and work. Along with English, he speaks some Spanish and a little bit of Turkish (as well as fluent Bostonian).
