We are the Shoemaker Sharks. The Sharks are inclusive students, staff, and caregivers who all hold inclusivity at the center of how we think and act. We are a community who lifts up each other. We have high expectations of and for each other and we thrive on our consistent routines. Our classrooms are student-centered, warm, collaborative spaces.

Our theme for the year is "connecting." We seek opportunities to connect with every member of the school community. Returning staff are emphasizing ways they can reconnect with each other, with their former students and families, with their new students and families, and with their new colleagues. New staff will look for ways to connect with each other and with the school community. We look forward to fostering the theme with our students as they work to connect with each other, their teachers, and with all the high-quality instructional materials we will put in front of them with our dynamic teaching!

Important Information:

• The first day of school for grades 1-5 is September 4th.
• School starts at 8:15 A.M.; we have breakfast available at 8:00.
• We will have signs in the school yard to mark where students line-up by class. We will resend teacher/class assignments this week.
• Please pack a filled water bottle and snack for every day.
• Dismissal is 2:15 P.M.

School Materials – We provide all materials for students.

We also have backpacks. Please come by the school BEFORE the first day anytime 8:00-2:30 if you need a backpack.

Kindergarten Orientation is September 6th 9:00 A.M. - 10:00 A.M. Please come to the main entrance and we will be here to welcome everyone!

Kindergarten first day of school is September 9th.

Busing is by NRT. NRT will contact those families who utilize busing. Expect to hear from NRT about a week before the first day of school to receive your bus stop and schedules.

PIZZA! POPSICLES! With the Principal! is September 9th. Our PTO is sponsoring a meet-and-greet and welcome to Shoemaker for all Shoemaker students, their immediate caregivers, and siblings. 6:00 – 7:30 P.M. at Shoemaker! We hope to see everyone there!
