  • Report Cards are scheduled to be sent via ParentSquare on Monday November 16.

Grade 06
  • Ms. Fila and Mr. Bollen are hosting assemblies on kindness for each cluster to promote positive peer interactions.
  • Our 6th grade students are more comfortable with the middle school routine and coursework. It is important for students at this level to communicate their needs clearly and be able to advocate for help and support.

Grade 07
Lynn Tech Applications open online on Friday October 30th. Students are admitted through a weighted lottery system. Be sure your student uploads an artifact to maximize their lottery chance. Students who are accepted to attend LVTI in grade 08 may keep their spot through high school.

Grade 08
Our 8th graders are at the very beginning of the high school information and selection process.  Here are a few important dates to keep in mind:

Friday, October 30th - applications for Lynn Tech will be available online for students to complete.  Do not have your student submit an application without completing an artifact.  Applications remain open until January 22nd.

Wednesday, November 4th- CASA is hosting an open house from 5:00-7:00.  Parents and students can attend an information session and see classrooms and student work.

Attendance Information

Partnering for Student Success
We are striving to reduce chronic absenteeism and improve student outcomes. You may receive updates with your student's attendance data throughout the year. This is intended to keep you informed and to help identify any potential barriers you or your child may be facing.
These messages and notices are not punitive. We want to partner with you to help your student be present and achieve success.
  • Attendance is an integral part of the students' learning experience.
  • Attendance is tracked for every class period, every day.
  • Please communicate through a parent note, call, or email if you know your student will be absent.
  • While we keep record of communication, parent notes are not typically marked as an excused absence.
  • Provide the school with any medical documentation to excuse an absence.
  • A student is considered "chronically absent" if 10% of the school year (18 days) is missed. Chronic absenteeism has a negative impact on student learning and achievement.
  • If a student is at risk of being chronically absent or has excessive absences, a meeting with the home partner may be requested to support the student's success.
Career Planning Visual

My Career and Academic Plan (MyCAP)

Twice per month our students participate in MyCAP lessons, which focus on learning about one's interests and skills and connecting them to potential future planning for college and career readiness.
Next Lesson Topics
  • Grade 06: Personal and Cultural Values
  • Grades 07 and 08: We will learn about LPS high school options
